We're looking for ten people to test VorrLoop

Ten people arranged in a loop around the VorrLoop mark, three of them ticked to show they have answered.

We've built VorrLoop, a way to get honest, anonymous feedback from the people you actually work with, and turn it into a development plan curated for you. Before it goes public, we want ten people to use it for real for four weeks and tell us straight what works and what doesn't.

If you present, pitch, manage, network or interview as part of your working life, and you'd be comfortable asking three to five colleagues for feedback, we'd like to hear from you.

How it works

You pick a chapter, which is the kind of role people see you in, and rate yourself on a short set of statements. That's your baseline.

Then you create a request, something like "How did I come across in this week's project meetings?", and share a link or QR code with three to five people who've seen you work recently. They tap through a short set of statements about things they've seen you do. No account, no download, no typing. It takes about 60 seconds.

Once three or more people have answered, your results appear:

  • a Loop score, one number out of 5
  • a breakdown across ten behaviours we call Success Sparks, such as Clear Thinking, Delivery and Rallying People, each read as strong, steady or focus
  • how you see yourself against how others see you
  • a plan of curated actions aimed at the gap between the two

The plan is curated, not generated. Every suggestion in it has been written and reviewed by people, not produced on the fly.

Anonymity, properly

Feedback only works if people feel safe giving it. Answers are never stored against a name. You only ever see combined scores from three or more people, and nothing shows at all until that third answer is in. Timing is blurred too: responses appear 15 to 60 minutes after they're given, so you can't work out who answered from when they answered.

What the pilot looks like

It runs in your phone's browser. For this first stage, VorrLoop is a web app. Open it on your iPhone or Android phone, sign up, and add it to your home screen if you like. There's nothing to install from an app store. A native iPhone app comes later, and pilot participants will be first in line for it.

It's four weeks, and the ask is small. One request with three or more answers in the first fortnight is the only requirement. After that, we'd like you to rate your plan in the app and answer a short four-question email at the end of week two and again at the end of week four. One line per question is plenty. Ask again as often as you like, but you don't have to.

It costs you nothing. No charge, no card details, and no limit on requests during the pilot.

Support is a reply away. If anything is unclear or broken, email us and you'll hear back within one working day. There's also a step-by-step guide, including a ready-made message you can copy when you ask people for feedback.

Your data stays yours. Anonymity, export and deletion work exactly as described in the app. We won't name you publicly without your consent.

What we're trying to learn

We'll be honest about what four weeks can and can't show. It isn't long enough to prove anyone's behaviour has changed, and we won't pretend otherwise. The pilot answers four questions:

  1. When you ask, do three or more people actually respond?
  2. Having read your results, can you see how to build a development plan from them?
  3. Would you use VorrLoop again without being asked?
  4. Does the Loop score make sense, and does the strong, steady or focus read feel fair?

That's it. Nothing you tell us about the product will offend us. Honest is what we need.
